Our Story

Established in 2020 during the backdrop of Covid-19, Hackwood Electrical was set up with the focus of doing things right.

The vision was simple from day one: give clients an honest, quality, no-nonsense service utilising over a decade of electrical knowledge and experience. No overcomplicated jargon, no cutting corners, just electrical work done properly.

The business grew steadily through 2022, built on word of mouth and a reputation; it turns out that when you treat people fairly and do quality work, they tend to remember you.

In 2023, Tom came on board, initially working with us as a subcontractor. It quickly became clear that we worked well together and shared the same approach to how electrical work should be done.

By 2025, what started as a one-man operation in the middle of a pandemic had grown into something bigger. Hackwood Electrical Ltd was officially founded with Aidan and Tom as directors. We now have a core full-time team of three, backed by a broader network of Hackwood Approved contractors whom we bring in when projects demand it.

Today, Hackwood Electrical covers projects nationally, covering all aspects of Domestic, Commercial, Industrial and Renewables electrical work, with a dedicated team handling PPM services including Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Fixed Wire Testing, PAT Testing, Air Conditioning Maintenance and CCTV Maintenance.

We're not a massive operation, and we like it that way. It means we can work with clients on an individual basis, taking the time to understand what they actually need rather than what we think we can sell them. We provide future-proofed solutions that meet their needs today and won't leave you stuck tomorrow, with an installation process that surpasses expectations.

At the end of the day, all we care about is doing a quality job that leaves customers feeling really happy. That's what got us started, and that's what keeps us going.
